Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) spent our Spring Break down in Sanibel. We rented unit #12 at White Sands. It was perfect! Smaller bldg. with only 12-15 condo units. Unit lanai overlooks the pool & short walk down to the beach. Plenty of space and no need to ‘compete’ for pool chairs/beach space. 3 new grills for use for meals. We enjoyed the newly remodeled furnishings & large tvs for viewing the March Madness Bball games! Kitchen & storage closet was well appointed with everything you need for the beach & cooking. The shelling is always amazing! We rented bikes for the week. Our girls cruised around the island finding spots they loved (books stores, smoothie & poke bowl treats.) Having stayed at other places around Sanibel/Captiva, we prefer this as you have quick access to bike/walking path that goes all around the island. Highly Recommend this property for your time away… together. March 2022
This was our 2nd time renting the White Sands #12 condo, and we'll come back again next year. WS is a smaller complex, which just means the pool & the beach is less crowded.- feels like your own personal space. The condo itself was recently redone & upgraded, and definitely feels very "home like"; almost everything you need is in the kitchen for those family dinners. The beds are comfortable & (more importantly!) the pillows on the beds are very comfortable.
The beach is just steps away & the view is perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon drink while watching the sunset.
The beach is also the perfect place to fly kites!! (if anyone is interested in trying something new!) My husband (60) and my son (30) had never flown a kite before! but the beach is perfect! (no overhead lines & no big trees) Our kites (a seagull, a manta ray, a turtle) all went up & some fun was had. July 2021
We have stayed at White Sands off and on for 20 years and the property has never looked better. This unit has been recently remodeled and was clean and well stocked. The storage closet held everything you could need for a day at the beach including toys, chairs, and tents, VIP was very easy to work with as check in and out were seamless. Highly recommend both this unit and VIP. June 2021
White Sands 12 is a beautifully updated condo.
Pros: It is very clean and white. You can watch people at the pool and the beach. The closet downstairs came with everything you’d ever need at the beach, which was a huge plus. The boardwalk appears to be new, which is appreciated. It was so nice staying in a place so clean and the addition of Netflix was a plus!
Overall, I highly recommend this property for its location (you can easily walk or bike to Baileys), it’s safe feeling, and the views from the lanai. May 2021

Lovely Condo on Sanibel Island We stayed at White Sands 12 in November, 2020. It is absolutely beautiful. Everything is new! I loved sitting out on the lanai drinking my coffee every morning, hearing the waves and seeing people walk the beach. White Sands is a quiet place. It’s a smaller building, and the pool and tennis courts are very nice. You can walk right out to the beach. The beach is not crowded at this spot on Sanibel, which makes it different from other places that we’ve stayed. We rented bikes and rode everywhere, to shops, restaurants, and Ding Darling Wildlife Sanctuary. Our son slept in the den on the pull out sofa, which is actually very comfortable. There is also a cozy bedroom with twin beds and a comfortable master bedroom. The kitchen and bathrooms were top-notch, pretty and clean. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook and eat in the condo. The TV and Wi-Fi worked great, so you can check on things at work or stream Netflix on a rainy day. We loved everything about this place. We’ll be back!

White Sands #12 Property Reviewed: White Sands 12 met every expectation and more. While it is a 2/2 unit, the den area, has a queen pull out couch & the space can be closed off for privacy - this was a HUGE plus as I'm a night owl & there were 6 in our group; everyone could sleep & I could be up. The kitchen was equipped with everything necessary to prepare meals; the beds were very comfortable; lots of fluffy towels in the bathrooms. The pool is a good size & the BBQ grills were clean & well maintained. The ocean view from #12 is perfection, and since this is a smaller condo complex, the beach was almost always basically deserted - it was like having your own private beach. We did have a bit of a problem when the WIFI went out, but we contacted VIP personal - they had someone out to our unit in under an hour & gave us a Hotspot device to keep us connected until the provider could resolve the problem. Overall, if you want a small, quiet complex, I'd highly recommend White Sands. And VIP Rentals does a great job when taking care of their guests.
